    ?'s relating to tub enclosures
i still haven't gotten an ok from my mom to keep a snake, but i'm preparing so i still have some questions...

i plan on buying flexwatt on at the anaheim expo this saturday. i know i need to buy larger tubs for the bp eventually so would you recommend me buying all the flexwatt i need for say.. 12 qt, 24 qt and 41 qt sterilite tub?

how long should the flex watt be and what width as well

    thanks!

What type of set up are you looking to setup, and what are the ambient temps in the room? Most can work with 3" or 11" flexwatt. I have 3" flexwatt thoughtout my racks. The length would depend on the size of the enclosure.

You will most definitely need a t-stat with flex watt since it can reach 113+ degrees. On all my tubs & tanks, I have a 1foot by 11inch piece of flex watt.

i have a 12 qt sterilite set up. i have the hot spot temp pretty much stable at a 92.5 , the cool side i'm having more difficulty with, in the morning, it drops to 75 which is way too low. i currently have a zoo med heat pad for 1-5 gallons. and i think maybe the wattage is too low, so i plan on getting flexwatt this saturday.

oh yea for flexwatt, where do you guys place it. for a sterilite tub, would you have the tape running the length of the tub or the width of it, i'm thinking lenght but just checking

You'll probably have to run it the short length in order to create a gradient. If you do it the long way, you'll likely end up with the same temps throughout.

Unfortunately, your tub setup is something you may have to see what works for you and just tweak it til you get it right.
