    Need Opinions..Advice.. Overall Help
Well I currently own 3 snakes, a bearded dragon and 2 adult rats. My room is out of space for any more animals... and I have a list I still want to get. My next step is purchasing a t-stat and a rack. I need opinions and advice with my choices.

First I decided to go with a t-stat from www.mgreptiles.com
    http://www.mgreptiles.com/herpstatnd.html

Second I decided on a rack from www.Animalplastics.com
    http://www.animalplastics.com/EP.html

Im not to sure... but could someone double check the rack I chose and tell me if it will be wired with flexwatt and ready to go.

Am I forgetting anything to move all my lovelies to a rack system?

    Thanks,

From what I know, AP usually uses heat cable that is routered into their shelves. Oh, and AP racks come unassembled so you will have to put it together and route the cable through the grooves yourself. It shouldn't take too long though, and they have great customer service.

Heat cable? Never heard of it. How is it compared to flexwatt?

It works fine. The width is narrower than flexwatt of course, but it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Also Heat wire is in my option easier to replace than flex watt. Flex watt is glued down and the heat cord is pressed into the routed grove in the rack. Ap make a good product over all

For a rack system, you best bet would be a proportional tstat like a herpstat or helix. I use a herpstat and it has done a great job.

I have regular Herpstat on my tub rack, and a Herpstat II controlling all the Vision Cages. They both work great, no problems so far.

When I build a hatchling rack the Herpstat will go on it, and I will be buying a Herpstat ND for the tub rack.
