I know long time no post :P
but i just felt like giving ya'll an update on whats been going on around here.
I've got all 3 of my snakes now eating F/T now :banana:
was kind of a suprise to me with that one.
I was down to my last few f/t small rats when i had went to the reptile show here to get more and they were out of the small rats by the time i got there so i bought some jumbo mice instead...i fed the last of the rats to my snake who has ate f/t from the first one offered to her that weekend, the next weekend i thawed out a coulpe of the mice for her and brought them into the room, the minute i walked in the other 2 who would only eat live come out of their hides ready to eat (what they normaly do when i come in with the live mice)... so i figured what the heck and offered one of the mice to my newest lil female... she struck it like she was an old pro at it...
the next weekend i thawed out 3 figuring i would give the girls f/t and hope the little one would do it again.
i fed her first and my male is right next to her and i looked over and there he is with his little head out looking at me like wheres mine, so once again .. i figured what the heck ... he took it no problem.
my two little reluctint (sp?) and very picky eaters have now been eating f/t for the best part of the summer putting on some nice weight too.
LOL... now its like taking a kid to Mcy D's when i walk into the room with their food.. best part, i get to keep the prize (that being the picky ones do have the feeding response)!
my little female is still skittish but not as bad... i can now get her out with out her going into the strike postion, still cant hold her for long periods of time with out her letting me know its time to go back.
thats about all the excitement going on around here...and waiting for Nov. so i can go to the reptile expo in indpls
