What size should I move up to?
Right now Dax is eating 2 weaned rats a week. As soon as I run out of weaned rats I am going to increase his prey size, since he is doing well with digesting the additional amount of food.
My question is this, what size rat should I move him up to? What is equal or maybe even a little more food than 2 weans? I was assuming going to a medium, but wanted some opinions.

Your next size would be 1 small rat.Be carefull though as some view rat sizes differantly. What i consider a small(since i raise them) some pet stores might view them mediums. So what i used to do is look at the rodents myself and pick the ones i wanted, since i knew the sizes my snakes were capable of eating.Do not be shocked if your snake refuses the larger prey item the first time.I hope this helps;)

Thanks Joe. That is okay. I get my frozen feeders at a reptile show and the guy lets me go through and pick what I want as far as size goes. He is eating 2 small weaned rats a week now, and I'm going to the show this weekend, so I'll look at smalls and see what he has. I can also do some size relating with what he is currently eating.
