Did I set everything right ?
K, so I have 2 hideouts on both sides, little tree in middle and bowl where u see it. Bowl is on the colder side. Or should it b on warmer ? Also I bought that screen for the back, is this ok ? I bought the Thermostat Helix DBS 1000 and a heat pad. The probe from thermostat is beetween the pad that is glued to the tank and the shelf, so basically under the heat pad.
This is my first try and pls leave some comments on what i did wrong and what i did right. I'm here so u guys can help me if I understood something wrong. Snake will b here in 4 days, so I wanna stabilazi the temp and humidity before he gets here.

You may need to move the water dish to the warm end, just watch your humidity and if it's too low,(needs to be 50-60%) then move it. As for the screen on the back, I think you're talking about the background picture. If so, then that's fine, it will actually help him feel more secure, by not seeing movement on three sides of the tank. I've heard of people placing the t-stat probe on the underside of the tank (that's where mine is) I would suggest using foil tape to stick it on, so temp. fluctuations in the room do not affect it. I don't have a Helix though so, maybe someone else has a comment on that. Looking good. Post pictures when you get your BP.....we love pictures!:D

looks great! how old is the bp your getting/what size? (just wondering in comparison to the hides) how do the temps/humidity look so far? i'm sure that'd be the only issue you'd have. looks secure enough in there. also, what substrate are you using, i'm not used to any of the bark types? it sure looks more aesthetically pleasing than newspaper though i've been loving just tossing the old stuff and putting cheap newspaper in. i've been using it for awhile now with a brief stint a bit ago with aspen. i'd love to see pics of your bp in his/her new home when you get him/her! later and i'm sure other people will give you better feedback, i tried lol. looks great though:)

I just set this up like 15min ago, so can't comment on temp and humidity yet :)

Tank looks nice, great job taking a couple of days to stabilize the temps and humidity before your new guy arrives.

You've mentioned the Helix but do you have thermometer inside the tank, separate from the Helix to monitor the ambient temp and humidity?

    Pretty background and setup though.

It looks awesome - I've used those hides before - my only concern is that they are going to be too big for a little baby (he won't really have any of the sides of the hide touching him like they like when he's just a baby). I have babies set up in 15 quart tubs and I find that they adjust better in the smaller enclosures.

Thirty gallon might be too big for the little guy, but keep an eye on him. I can tell that you have a keen eye for detail and are trying to get everything perfect - so congratulations go out to you!

Looks great, but maybe go to a dollar store and get a couple fake plants. My Bp loves the fake plants, seriously. lol. My whole tank is filled with them, (around her water dish and 2 hides and branch, lol.) I'll have to post a pic of it soon. :pinkele:
