    Big enough? (DU W)
hey everyone! just saw Aza out and about and it kept bothering me seeing her in a much smaller enclosure. i know bp's like a tighter fit for the enclosure for security reasons but just to make sure i took some pics and was wondering an opinion.

If you were to get something with more floor space and less height, he would be much more comfortable. An underbed box works great. For my big adult female, I use a sterilite 1995, and for a smaller 1300g female I use a sterilite 1986. They both have plenty of room to stretch out if they need to, not to mention the shorter tubs are easier to heat(ambient temp wise). You could find one of the 1995's at WalMart for around $10. It has latching ends, but you would need a suitcase strap or bungee cord around the center to prevent the lid from coming up(as it has a bendable lid).

The tub you are using looks long, narrow and tall. Not something that would be easy to heat. Similar to a 55g tank in respect to dimensions. Try the 1995 or the 1986, you'd be surprised at how much floor space those have.

I have a 4 ft. 1500 gram male who is housed in a sterilite 1960 (41 qt.) and he seems to be doing just fine. He stretches plenty, but for the most part he travels back and forth between his two hides and it seems the lack of height is not an issue. I also use binder clips to secure the lid. The ones Becky recommended are pretty close to the dimesions of mine. All three are inexpensive ($7 - $10 approx.).
