Re: Q about Buying/Selling
Just do some research into their reputation. Don't search for the lowest price. That doesn't necessarily mean the highest price is the best...Just do your homework, google whoever is selling. find their web site, find their company info, etc.
Some breeders hang around these boards and offer very helpful information, so you know they're legit. yes i'm talking about 8ball Adam. But there are plenty of others.
If it's too good to be true, it probably is. If you know the avg. price of a snake is in the thousand dollar range, and some one comes on here offering that same type of morph for a few hundred bucks, look elsewhere.
Re: Q about Buying/Selling
thanks man... yeah i think im just going to go with some of the most popular websites...
Re: Q about Buying/Selling
You are right to be cautious when investing your money in these animals, you need to background research and even talk to others who have purchased from them. On THIS site, I think it will be hard to find someone who is scammer and still a part of this community. The same can be true in the overall reptile community, most often it doesn't take long for a shady dealer's name to spread like wild fire to others. This doesn't mean that every small dealer who doesn't yet have an established name yet is a bad guy, but it never hurts to ask for references and such.
Re: Q about Buying/Selling
We have an inquiries forum. If you are interested in browsing or even posting about a particular member, please feel free. We have several well established breeders who have great reputations.
We would not tolerate anyone invlolved in a scam.

Also check out this link:
http://ball-pythons.net/modules.php?...daysprune=1000
It's a place for people to post up breeders and rate them...there are plenty of reptuable breeders listed.
Make sure you change it from "last 30 days" to "beginning" so you can view all of the breeders....
Re: Q about Buying/Selling
Almost anyone not worth dealing with will be known about by some (if not all) of the members here. Bad guys names spread fast. Posting an inquiry on someone is a great start. Also, some common sense will help a lot.
Anyone from Africa is usually a scam. A price greatly lower than market usually means the ad is bogus. No pics when dealing with high dollar morphs is a red flag.
Just check out anyone before you decide to send the money and get a copy of their TOS.
