    HELP! Mites!
    Hello All---

I noticed a little bug crawling on Lucky's head. :confuzd: I couldn't find any more on him. I am going to get Mite-Off just incase... I also noticed that his ventral scales were kind of flaky and some were turning brown on the edges. Is this related to the mites or could this be another issue? None of my other pythons have this issue... Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Re: HELP! Mites!
I just bought some mite off today. Mites suck! I'm not sure about the flaking or anything, but here's what I did with the mite off today:

Sprayed down and threw away the substrate I was using. Put sharky (my bp) in the bath tub with some shallow warm water (make sure it's not too hot). Sprayed him a few times with the mite off and scooped some water over his back to rinse it off. Got a little too close to his neck, and he got a little agitated (careful).

I put him in a plastic tub with a towel and put him somewhere warm while I took care of his tank. Sprayed down both his hides, his water bowl, his thermometer, and the entire tank. Wiped everything down with paper towels, added clean dry paper towels to use as substrate for the next few days (have to repeat the process for eggs I believe) and replaced him after I let it air dry a bit.

    Good luck
