E-bay and Steve Irwin Items
So sad to see people trying to cash in on Steves death. I know if it's the persons own item, they can do what they please. However, just the ethics. I couldn't see the validity of trying to make a buck off of someones deaths. Some items are selling for a few grand. If your "mourning" over Steves passing, why not spend that 1800.00 on some charity that helps with wildlife.

What's worse is i've seen people making shirts using either images or words stating "stingray > crocodile"
I mean, the simple fact is how would you feel if someone walked around in a shirt clearly refrencing the death of your spouse, parent or child?
people have no common deciency. I'm all for free speech, but not free jack***ery
What would it be for his wife/kids/dad/friends to log onto ebay one day and find something like that?
How would you feel?
GOD it just IRKS me so much.

Re: E-bay and Steve Irwin Items
Yes, none of us have ever met him, and people say "Well you dont know him so why care if he lived or died?!" My response is, he has done more in his 44 years of life then 1,000's of other people will even attempt. He was from what we saw a good father and husband and when does ANYONE see a husband/father cry most of the time when proudly talking about his wife and kids? Plus, his 2 year old son will never get to truly know his father, and the man he was.

Re: E-bay and Steve Irwin Items
Hi everybody, I'm new to the forum though I would like to give my input on this topic,
i think it is stupid that people feel that they are justified to make money from someone else's downfall or "bad luck". Steve was an amazing person, he did wonders to bring wildlife and knowledge of conservation into the home in a way that was entertaining and informative. People are just looking to make an easy buck and not willing to work to earn it even if that means hurting others, I have no respect for those types of people.
Wildlife conservation has taken a huge blow, Steve ignited the fire, now we need to keep the fire burning.

My thoughts exactly
we had two radio hosts that everyone and their mother loves, just brown nose them seriously. and they were like "okay, but he wasn't that great" why? they said he was an athiest. okay 1. how do they even know? we're in alabama.
2. would you rather your kids watch the 'athiests' on mtv or the 'athiest' steve irwin? that's all i have to say.
people just sicken me with their rationality. a great man has died- if nothing else he was a father to his children. i can name names right now of several guys who are pathetic and left the teenaged girls they got pregnant. yet, they're alive. and 'christian'.
**note, i am christian and i understand most christians are truely good people and not so petty to wail on a man's life soley by the religion he was or was not practicing.

Re: E-bay and Steve Irwin Items
This is ridiculous. To bad-mouth someone shortly after their death is just a cowardly act; they cannot defend themselves obviously, and how could someone do that to his grieving family? Unbelievable!
