The proper age for a female to be before any breeding attempts is at least 3yrs of age(some go at 2yrs).She should be at least 1200 grams of weight also the bigger the better.Males tend to differ as far as age and weights,some go as young as 6 months to 18 months.As far as there weights it could be 500 grams to 1000+ for the males.I hope this helps :)

Personally, I would let a 1000+ gram male and a 1500 + gram female do their thing. ;) Can you say LOTS OF EGGS!?

The male spiders are capable at breeding succesfully at a younger age and weight.Breeding is more taxable on the female as she has to produce the follicles,form the egg shells and lay the eggs and this is why she should be a higher weights.Breeding is still taxable on the male just not as much as compared to the female.

Actually, the physical act of breeding takes a far greater toll on males ... they exert a tremendous amount of physical energy courting and then copulating with the female ... An overbred male that isn't rested properly can actually breed himself to death.

I second that. I get really tired after breeding...I hope that when I die my obituary reads "He copulated himself to death". Wait..That doesnt sound good.

I used the male spider as just an example.It is possible for others to breed at this age and weight.I always give my male a 3 day rest so i count that as a less stressing time for him.I guess it could be compared as equel to both.
