    soap - yes or no?
while cleaning out a tank today, I was wondering if I should use something mild like dish soap to clean out the tanks as well as water bowls and hides.

is this a good idea or a bad one? I'm kind of afraid that washing the pourus (sp?) stuff might leave some soap residue that might hurt them. not quite sure what to do.

    help?

oh, that should be ok. you may want to soak them in water for like 30 minutes after using the soap. personally id just stick to very hot water

Wendy, soaps ok. what i use when doing a heavy cleaning is a bucket of hot water, little bit of anti-bac. dish detergent and a couple table spoons full of bleach. works for me. :sweeet:
