You can not be 100% sure of the sex just by looking at the tail or the spurs. If your looking for a certain sex have it probed by someone who knows what they are doing. If they do this wrong it will injure your snake;) .So please do not let just anybody try it unless they do infact know what they are doing.

Re: Boy or Girl?
You would need two BPs of the same length to compare. That's the only way that you would be able to distinguish a male from a female.

Hm.. I guess that's why none of my 7 females' bottoms look the same. They all have different tail lengths, and they all have spurs that range in size from teeny tiny to pretty honkin big.
Probing or popping.
Or you can ask the snake if it is wearing a pink or blue bow. :P

Re: Boy or Girl?
I've notice in Females the tails look stumpy and a lot fatter, tho general length is greater than the males.
just in my experiences... I know someone to have a Female and I know I have a Male, so comparing only 2 BP. Not exactly much to go on, mind you. ;)

Re: Boy or Girl?
all of my female's tails are long and thin with a sharp tip to them, my males have fat, dumpy, blunt tiped tails.

Re: Boy or Girl?
really?...like I said, I've only seen 1 KNOWN male and 1 KNOWN female.
Still kinda new at it..lol But I'm learning. So far sounds like mines looking like yours.
(I had my male popped)
Looks like your female is pretty young ( around 2 years? )
