    Misting/Humidity Control
I just put my Acu-rite in the tank, and got some more useful info on the environment. Warm side is around 90º and cool side between 75º and 80º. The problem is my humidity is hovering around 45%-50%. I moved the water dish under the light (100W IR light) to see if that would bring it up, and I've covered over half the screen top with plastic and a blanket.

When I do a light mist (2-3 spays), the humidity jumps up for a short period, but just drops right back down. This would be fine, except he's in shed and needs a bit more moisture. Should I be getting the cypress a lot more wet, or should I figure out a way to seal the top better?

    TIA!

I would be more concerned with you cool side dipping in the 70s than your humidity at this point. Low temps and misting aren't a good combo for the risk of an RI. I had to get a small heat pad to boost the temps on a cool side the couple extra degrees I needed.

I just double checked, and I'm running 94.5º on the warm, 78.7º cool, and 45% humidity.

Is that too cool on the cool side?
