Feeding Snakes Live Rats..

Does the age of the rat make a difference? If the rats reach a specific age will it make it not good for the snake? If so, how old can the rat be until it's no longer good for the snake to eat?

IMHO its not the age of the rat. Its the size. I feed rats that are a little smaller than the thickest part of the snake and have had no problems so far.
