    my snakes scales feel more "loose" than when I 1st got him, you know what i mean?
    is that normal ? .... or do you think it's in my head?
    (i'm a lil over protective of him)

    I don't think it's dumb. I'm just not sure how to reply. Most scales are not glued in place, so there is some wiggle room. As long as they aren't falling out I wouldn't be terribly concerned. ;)

    I've noticed that the skin's skin and scales can change how they feel over the course of each shed cycle (from soft and buttery to dry and "catchy"), as well as from when the snake is empty (having digested and pooped out everything, so the skin is looser) to being full of both a recent feed *and* poopy (so the skin is not tight, per se, but definitely not loose).
