    Should I feed him?
With my boy Kole having an RI. Should I feed him? At night he sits with his head barely out of the hide (so does Kali). Correct me if im wrong but isn't he waiting for food to walk by?.

...nah... i have no idea what to do with an ri snake- so if its okay to feed him with it then only feed him on his set 'date'

no matter how much they beg with those cute lidless eyes- dont feed unless on schedule.

I would wait for someone with mroe RI experience (I have never encountered it) to reply; but my opinion would be, that the snake needs energy to fight this off, so would nede to be fed on schedule. I wouldn't feed until someone with more knowledge about this replies, though.

Is the animal being treated by a vet? What does the vet say?

I will be taking him to the vet sometimes within the next 3 days. I just found a place pretty close to me that takes snakes called "Ravenwood Animal Clinic" and they have a good reputation. I was told by the secretary it was going to be 34$ for the vet visit and she wasn't sure of the medication cost. So it should't be that bad.

Should I feed him tonight adam? That would mean the vet my be handling him (me 2) after he just ate and could lead to a possible rupture(sp) or internal bleeding correct?

I would skip it and wait to see what the vet says ... ball pythons can go a long time without food and it's really no big deal.

Kilo,if you did feed him(i would not) it could cause him to regurge. Not the rupture or internal bleeding;) .This could only happen if he was injured or dropped from a high place.

Oh WOW! My father just called me up on the cell and told me he brought my snake down to the local vet (that treats reptiles)! Awesome! hopefully my baby boy will be coming home tonight with his medication and we can start the recovery process.
