Heavier Feeding

As noted in Adam's breeding calendar:

"About mid month, I begin to put breedable or close to breedable females on a heavier feeding schedule than normal. This helps them build up fat stores needed for egg production. Males are monitored for weight and heavier breeder males are actually put on a lighter feeding schedule."

Does this mean the meal schedule stays constant, but food gets bigger? (ex. feeding every Monday, but meal size is larger), or does it mean meal size is the same, but fed every 5 or 6 days rather than once per week?

Same for the males, do the meals get smaller and stay consistent, or do the meals stay the same size, and fed less frequent?

I think he means additional same sized meals on the same feeding day. Meaning, a bp that usually takes 1 small, would be given 2 or 3 smalls if they would take them.
