    Bps can handle bone and teeth. A little substrate won't hurt em. ;) No big deal.

    But so can corns... yet they are more at risk for impaction? :confuzd:

    I don't know about the risk of impaction with corn snakes, sorry. I've had several pieces of aspen ingested by various bps, with no ill effect. Maybe it's the because bps are heavier bodied?

    If you are concerned about it, you can always lay a paper towel over the bottom of the enclosure or a paper plate.
