interesting behaviour patterns

nothing i think i should be worried about...


he doesn't really hide in his hide anymore, just kinda buries his head.

at night when i come home from wherever (usually around 11pm), he'll be curled up next to his hide, or laying out straight with his head in the hide.

i've never once seen him drink any water, but he's ate within 1 min of me offering thawed mice to him (fed him twice so far)

he loves my book bag for some reason

and he has never once tried to even get close to the top of the tank. are some snakes just not interested in escape?

I have yet to see a few of my BPs try to escape. I guess some just 'feel the need to venture out'.

Unless your up around 3 or 4 am I'm sure you don't really see the extent of his full activity. I know sometimes I've woken up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and saw my two kiddies trying to escape from alcatraz .

Sounds like your snake doesn't like the hides that you are providing ... try something smaller that will fit your snakes size snugly.

Also, check your temps with a good digital thermometer ... 82-84 on one side, 92-94 on the other.
