bringing ball pythons together?
Hey everyone i wanted to know if u can put two ball pythons together. Now b4 u answer listen to the predicament.
My friend has a nine month ball python, its about 26 in. long, and it is a fatter female with a little eating problem at the time.
My CARTMAN is still a baby, he is 14.5 in. It is a boy and a reasonable thickness. And he is eating fine.
Now what I wanted to know is if I go to his APT. could I bring CARTMAN and stay a while, putting CARTMAN in with his snake (BUTTERS) {and just so u know my friends and I are big south park fans} And if I can what are the conditions?
Re: bringing ball pythons together?
Nope. Not a good idea at all...
Lets just say one of the snakes have a disease or parasites that you don't know about yet. It could go to the other snake.
Your snake is probably going to be stressed on the way there, why make him even more stressed by putting him with another snake? Even if it is for a few minutes or whatever.
I think you shouldn't even take the snake on unnecessary trips.
Re: bringing ball pythons together?
Do not house 2 ball pythons in a single enclosure. They compete for space and are subject to stress, which ultimately leads to poor health.
Are you asking this because you don't yet have a cage?

I agree, it's a reptile... not a dog. They don't care for trips!
You risk cross contemination of possible diesease and possibly picking up mites if one has them. You risk stressing the hell out of them both by housing them together, not to mention taking it out with you is a stressfull event in itself.
Better leaving Cartman at home, he couldn't care less if you were home with him or not. But he won't be stressed!

No I think he only wanted to take his snake to visit his friend who has a ball python.
Re: bringing ball pythons together?
Yea bps aren't the kind of snakes you can take out on the town. You would be doing your snake more harm than good, and for what?
Re: bringing ball pythons together?
Ya my best friend Jim has Butters, and i m there more than i am home or work. If i cant do this i might get another cage over there. Do u think that would work?
Re: bringing ball pythons together?
You would still be stressing the snake and doing more work than you have to. Why not leave the snake at home? Snakes don't need someone there all the time like hamsters and other mammals.
EDIT: I agree with sputnik, I thought you wanted a temporary cage there. VVVVVV
