    The Little Snake That Could....Escape!!!
Is there a single rite of snakekeeping that this snake isn't going to subject me to??

Checked on Trey/Emily this evening only to find an open enclosure and no snake. Ugh!
Jeff and I tore the office apart twice looking for her. You would think this supposedly small, weak, sick snake would not be far from her tub, right? After at least 20 minutes of searching, I was really starting to think 'ok, that's it for this snake, this is how the saga ends!'. By pure happenstance, Jeff happened to be standing in a way that he could see the side of the office oppsite Emily's home, and saw a toy airplane tip over all by itself. The thing is, this toy is on top of a 6 foot tall bookcase. No way that snake is up there.
Um yeah, she was too! Little freak!
I have no idea how she got up there. She does have a small cut on her tail area, which we put some Neosporin on.

Seriously, I can't win with this one!

Wow she's a busy body. Only once did crowley 'escape' and he had gone an astounding foot from his enclosure to curl up under the bed. It took him all of an estimated 30 min to do it too.

Yeah, I figured this one would be close by as well, but noooo, she was mountain climbing.

Glad you managed to find her! Nothing like the feeling of your stomach dropping to the floor when you see that empty cage! They are also pretty good climbers. I lost a snake a while back and she managed to knock a candle vase off the top of my refrigerator in the middle of the night! :O

Wow, Raj, that is absolutely crazy! I don't get how they can climb like that, but I have a whole new level of respect for them now.

I have a female adult that climbs the side of her 55 gallon enclosure like a rock climber would. She scoots one section up at a time until she is at the top. Then the little dork tries to slide under the lip of the lid(maybe only a hair of a opening) until she falls with a thump:P .Then i swear she looks around like to see if anyone saw what just happened lol.I tell her Lilly your a nut case :giggle: .If some of you remember the last female adult i added to my collection she is named Lilly:) .I am glad you did find her Sarah;)

Glad you found her Sarah!! Next time "Trey" escapes you should sing for her, this will draw her to you. Also it's important to record the singing and post it her to make sure the trap works :D
