    I'm sure you folks remember the little neglected leo i took in, well i had to get her put to sleep yesterday. The poor wee thing was deterioting at an alarming rate so i thought it was better for her if ended her miserable existance

    Six weeks into her rehab and it was shortly after this pic was taken that she became very poorly

    She looks so much improved, she's barely recognizable. I'm so sorry she took a turn for the worse. Did they say why she deteriorated so quickly?

    With no parasites found in her stool sample and not showing any signs of any common known illness, the vet and a friend i know with years of experience with reptiles put it down to wastings disease. The bad thing about this is that its untreatable and results in the gecko dying a slow death

    Darn it and she loooked like she was getting so much better! How said for you and awful for her. I think you did right by her in ending her suffering quickly though. Sometimes that's all we can do and at least she knew safety, comfort and human kindness in the last weeks of her life. :grouphug:
