    For people with big collections who use temp guns...
    What do you do to monitor humidity? To me it sounds like a waste of money to buy a temp gun, then buy a 15 dollar thermometer/hygrometer just to measure humidity.

    I use a temp gun, although, it is used for my lizards, and not my snakes. And as far as humidity, I dont worry about that with the lizards I am using a temp gun to monitor thier enclosures.

    I use my temp gun all the time, and I've got a few thermo/hygrometers that I toss in various cages and just to keep an eye on things.

    Likewise over here I use my temp gun on my Bearded Dragon enclosures, Savannah Monitor enclosure and spot checking all my snake enclosures. The electric hygrometers like you said are built into the thermometers.
    In short I use both I guess.
