What light do you prefer to use at night?
Just out of curiosity, what light do you prefer to use at night for your snake(s)?

I find myself using red bulbs and dark blue bulbs for all of my setups.

i agree...i do not use lights...they lower the humidity drastically.

i use an UTH on the hot side. a CHE is a good alternative.

    good luck

PS-I used to use a red light, til i figured out it dries the air out.

How do you all keep up your ambiente temps with just flexwatt? I have a UTH on a thermostat for the right belly heat on the warm side, but need a bulb (either red or sometimes dark blue) to keep ambiente temps above 80.

One more question: would a CHE dry the air out as much as a red or blue bulb?

I have a UTH under my hot spot, and one on the side of the tank near the hot spot. It really works to maintain the ambient temperature. I have the hot spot UTH on a thermostat and the UTH on the side of the tank on a timer. Right now I do not have a light at all.

I just keep the room temps to 77, and with the warm side at 92 or so, the other side warms up to 82 or 83.
