Just a Cute little black rat I found up here PICS

Had no idea they were around here in Omaha Nebraska. This little boy was around 3' and clearly was a male
Since there are very few in this area, I let him go and I hope he can live long enough to make a few babies and repopulate the area. Only herps in this area I have seen are Garters, Ringnecks, rarely a bull snakes, and now a black rat.

That is about right ;) ......either bite or musk (or both) then calm down :D

I am still shocked I found him up here. He was in my grandmas garage when we opened up the door. They have a HUGE mole problem up there so I would think I can find plenty more snakes up there if I try. We are moving just down the street and putting in a pond. Hopefully I can find some more herps come around.
