some questions on shedding
ok first off my ball python cesar went into the blue stage last wednesday and turned back to almost normal about saturday after noon. he now appears to have shed but there is now shed skin left behind in his tub. how long does the normal stage last before they shed. my other bps all shed within 24 hours of exiting the blue stage. he does have a couple dents in his eyes and a little one on a scale above his eye. his humidity has been between 70 and 80 percent. also could he have shed and then eaten his old skin? (that sounds like a dumb question to me but i had to ask)
Re: some questions on shedding
Ok, I think I got this right. You've seen the blue stage and now he's clear, but no shed. Sometimes it takes 48-72 hours after clearing for the actual shed. If he sheds you won't be able to miss it. They don't eat their shed, like lizards. ;)
He's probably in his enclosure now shedding, just to make you feel silly. Give it another day or two and you should have a shed. :gj:
Don't feel bad for asking. Tis better to ask, than to be ignorant. ;)
Re: some questions on shedding
i got home from football today and looked into the cage and found that he had shed so all is well.
Re: some questions on shedding
See they are like little physics they sence what will worry you and then they do that. then. When you give up they do what you were looking for them to do.
