    48 hrs of grumpyness
i have been noticing that my 05 male is very aggressive in nature after he feeds. Which is ussually normal because he is in feed mode. however He continues to be aggressive for almost 48 hrs after his meal. Whenever i go near his Tub to check on temps/humidity, he'll bring 10" or so of his body out of his hide, and get into the "S" position ready to strike. Ussially he'll raise his head in the same way he would if i had a mouse for him. Sunday i had to go into his tub and clean up. well he wasnt very pleased that i was disturbing him and i thought for sure i was going to get tagged. He feeds every saturday night and by monday afternoon was his normal docile nature again when i chnged his water.

    any thoughts?

Might just be that he doesn't like being desturbed after he eats or he feels threatened and vulnerable so he gets defensive. Does he hiss or strike of does he just come out and check things out ??

thanks for the reply....he never hisses, and i have never let my hand get close enough for him to strike. not yet anyway. Its no big deal, it gives him personality. its something i have noticed just in the past few months. before that he was always docile nomatter what.

If he doesn't hiss or strike then he might not be upset try picking him up two days after eating. If he don't hiss or strike or anything then he's all good.
