Re: All Ohio Reptile Show
My husband and I are going! We are also meeting up with Lynn to pick up some cresties from her.
Re: All Ohio Reptile Show
Just thought I would bump this up to see if anyone else was planning on attending tomarrows show... I plan on being there early and not staying terribly long due to bringing animals home with us. Once I figure out what I am gonna wear, I will post so ppl know how to find me if they want. (Working on laundry)
Re: All Ohio Reptile Show
Ah, I'll probably wearing dark jeans with a short army green skirt and a random black shirt. Oh, and perhaps my Hayden on my arm. Feel free to come up and say "Hullooo!"
Re: All Ohio Reptile Show
Is this show different than the others???? I thought ppl couldn't take personal animals. The ones here state that specifically--no outside animals, only those being sold by vendors. Is Ohio an exception?

I've not seen it anywhere. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, though.
Sometimes Hayden hangs out in my purse when I go places [while in a nice pillowcase]. I figured I'd show him off.
Re: All Ohio Reptile Show
Lots of people bring in outside animals in an attempt to trade for others... I've seen lots of kids with beardies hanging off their shirts. :)
That said, I was at the show this morning and met up with Jeanne... and Brain and Fudge are now on their way to Cleveland! Whoot! Hope you like them, Jeanne!
And let me tell you, I should've gone home after that. Should've taken my money and ran... or better yet, not have had Jeanne pay me in cash. Lol, I went into the show telling myself: "I'm just going to look." Well, I looked. And looked. And asked a few questions... and debated... and ended up buying another snake, lol.
There was a woman there selling Cook's Tree Boas. She had a very nice female---big girl, around 5 ft.---very pretty brown pattern. I've been thinking about getting one for an arboreal display and talked to the woman about a set-up, if the thirty gallon I had would work, temps needed, feeding, etc. I got the boa out and handled it (with gloves, of course... fiesty little buggers!). I fell in love. I loved her attitude, how pretty she was, everything! Turns out, the breeder lives here in Columbus, so, since I'm moving this weekend, I asked if I could put half down and pick the snake up on Monday after I got everything set up. Not a problem... so I've gotta new baby coming on Monday :fest2: A very snippy, bitey baby, but still, lol. I guess you can say I traded two cresties for a tree boa :)
