    Rethinking my BP breeding plans...
I have decided, for financial reasons, to focus on a male pastel for my next snake. I just don't have the funds I would like to have to invest in a more expensive morph; however, I love the look of the high contrast pastels (really bright yellow!) and the shading, and in a month or so I will have the cash for one.
Any recommendations? I really don't want to get an animal that grows up to be dull and, well, non-pastel looking. At the same time I do not want to spend a lot; too many other $$ obligations.

Don't sacrifice quality for cost ... it's not worth it ... find the best pastel you can find and see what you can work out with the breeder ... many breeders do very flexible payment plans that help take the bite off of high dollar price tags on many morphs.

I agree 100% with Adam. Do not settle for mediocre. Definetly try to find the best looking male, and see if a deal can be worked out. You will be glad you did, when he gets old, and is still smoking. Not to mention those better looking babies that he throws will be easier to sell.

I have to say... that I don't let ANY of my BP's smoke. Smoking's bad... m'kay.

Throwing babies is ALSO not allowed in my herp room.

What the heck is going on over at your place, Tim!!??

Occasionally, if I leave my cigarettes in the room, a couuple of unruly kids will start smoking and throw some of the nerdy snakes around. They seem to all run back to their enclosures when I walk in though, so I haven't been able to nail down the trouble makers.

So what about these Graziani Pastels? They look brownish, but as far as I can see the Supers he produces are smoking. Im looking at a male pastel now that's not so yellow up top but is solid down at the base. The female I'm getting is a bright sharp female. I figured they'd mix well. (The male I'm getting is not a Graziani though, unless something happens then i may get one from him).

i've seen hot pastels produced in all the lines, vpi, bell, graziani, etc. as adults i think the nerd lemon line has the best color in general. if i had to do it over again, i think i would have chosen the hottest lemon i could find.
