If it's just a patch of skin on the top of his head, it should be fine to just leave it alone. It may loosen up over time and the snake will rub it off on its own...or it will come off with the next shed. Either way...if it's just a patch, it won't hurt to leave it.

So long as its not encircling the neck or head, it should be fine. Keep the humidity up and hopefully the little guy will rub it off on its own. You could do a forum search on "stuck shed" and find lots of methods for helping....but in my personal opinion (purely opinion, mind you!) it causes more stress to keep trying different methods than it does to just leave it alone and let the snake do its thing.

My youngest female had a pretty bad shed the other week and after two soaks in the bathtub it still hadn't come off. The leftevover shed was on her neck and most of her head. I soaked a clean sock in warm water, put her in the sock and placed the sock in one of the unused tubs in my rack for about 45 minutes. The shed came right off when I took her out. She downed two large mice about an hour later and seems to be a LOT less pissed off.
