Pictures of Murphy and his new digs
Here's Murphy, my White's Tree Frog. He was born on August 10th, 2004 and morphed into a froglet on the 18th. I bought him from Fair Dinkum Frog Farm(CBB Australian lines) on the 20th at the Austin show. So he's been with me ever since he was as big as my thumbnail.

Here's Murphy eating a fuzzy mouse. He ate two last night and was a bit full, LoL.

I love his little snowflakes on his butt. He gets that from his father, Diego. I don't know if the breed I got him from breeds anymore though.

Awwww he's waving at us (well at me I'm quite sure but then the heat has fried my brain cells somewhat) :rolleye2:

He's gorgeous Becky and sooooo chubby! Does he allow you to handle him at all? What's their average lifespan?

Oh yes, very handleable! He could care less and you can feed him while you are holding him. Very cool little dude(well, not so little anymore). I believe White's live to be around 15 or 20 years if taken proper care of. They are a good first frog as they are hardy little guys. Most of the White's you see at shows and whatnot are from Indonesia as Australia doesn't allow exportation anymore. Indo's are more brownish/olive, while the Aussie's are blue/teal/bright green.

You need to get Murph a lady so we can all have one of his froglets then. I think you should call her....hmmmm....Bernadette (don't know why....seems like a cool lady frog name LOL).

I always think Murphy needs a black top hat (like that singing, dancing green frog in the old cartoons...."hello my baby, hello my darlin...") LOL
