    red light for heat...
So I am currently using a red 150w to assist in heating my tank along with UTH's. Got it all wired up with digital temps, and thermostats and getting good results and proper heating for ambient, cool and warm sides of the tank. However is the red light bothersome or possibly stressful to the snake at night. Is will leave the lamp on at night and turn it off as needed day time depending on outside temps. Any thoughts? Will probably go with a ceramic heater later on but was just curious about this.

The red light won't bother the snake at all.

Snakes can't really see red or blue light, so it won't stress him at all. It's safe to leave it on 24-7.
