In the way back machine: Calcutta the bunbun
Okay, let's hop in the way back machine. Judging by my hair and size, I'm guessing I was 7 or 8 in this photo. My family used to raise rabbits for meat when I was kid and this was Calcutta our buck. Calc lived a long time, and even eventually retiring to be an indoor bunny for the last few months of his life (waaay after all the other buns were no longer with us).
He was great...coal black from tip to tail with bright yellow eyes. =)

Cass, if I sent you a black bunny, blue knee high socks, and sandals, what would it take for you to stage a reenactment of that picture?

It's the blue socks that do it, isn't it? ;)

Thanks Cass! I really enjoy pictures of way back when and your farm childhood intrigues me to no end. Do you ever think about moving back to a farm someday?
Re: In the way back machine: Calcutta the bunbun
Adam, you are a bad bad man.
Intriqued, huh? What, that they still grow'em like that? =) I found some other pictures on my hard drive, of how the farm looks now (which isn't very farm like - all lush, beautifully landscape country resort house looking), one of me dressed up like a chicken for halloween (how about no) and one of me taking a bath in a bucket on the porch of the cabin we lived in for a couple of years when we first moved to Indiana.
But this is a family site and I can't show you a picture of me nekked in a bucket, even if I was 5! =D
