Hey guys i need some help....i'm starting to get more snakes and I wanna buy a rack but my step mom thinks that tubs are bad for snakes and they can get out easily....I no better than this but she doesnt belive me....she said she would think it over if she had people[outher than me] tell her that tubs are a very good enclosure for snakes and thats it a good idea to get a rack if i have a growing amount of snakes

Racks with tubs are by far the best type of enclosure for ball pythons. ;)

Have your children figured out how to get out of the tubs yet?

Racks are economical. Cheaper and easier than than tanks and viv's IMO... Easier to heat, easy to keep up humidity, easier to clean.

I too LOVE my racks. They are way better than a bunch of space wasting, glass tanks.

    Hahahahaha!!!

I went from a very-difficult-to-maintain glass tank to a plastic tub for my BP. Both the snake and I are much, much happier now!

I'm not sure why, but my husband (who doesn't care for snakes in the house at all) feels much more secure knowing there's a "real" lock on the cage...so I melted out holes in the lid and lip of the tub and put a big, chunky padlock on it. :D And metal clips along the sides to make sure the corners and middles stay nice and snug.

I don't have enough snakes to warrant a rack yet, but I won't hesitate to get one when the time comes.

Thats why you buy the rack first, it gives you an excuse to buy more snakes:)
