Oh he looks chubby and happy Sue! Thanks for sharing these great photo's of him and congrats on the new camera.

What a beautiful monitor. What are your long term caging plans? A room in the basement?
Re: Pics of Savariano the Savannah ***DU WARNING***
Thanks :D I love the new camera - I'm not very technical minded and this one is just soooo easy once my daughter showed me how to use it ;) It even takes videos - can I post videos? (It's one of Sav chasing and eating some locusts)
Long-term plans are pretty much his own room. He's going to have a 10x4x4 enclosure in what is currently the dining room - he also comes out and runs around downstairs under supervision - then sometimes I encourage him to go up and down the stairs for some more exercise followed by a swim in the bath.

Wow...he's just awesome looking!! Very impressive!!

I'd love to see pictures of his cage - the setup looks interesting. =)

Very nice Sue. Think about what you will do when you get ready to move. Having a whole lizard room sized enclosure instead of a bed room won't be a selling feature of the house. I want to see videos. He looks cute. I'm hoping to be able to catch some big grass hoppers for my boy this summer. Have you tried to breed locusts yet?
Re: Pics of Savariano the Savannah ***DU WARNING***
Great photos !!!! He's nice!!!
Re: Pics of Savariano the Savannah ***DU WARNING***
Thanks - he is an awesome lizard :D Off to feed him 4 mice now - will video that too!! I'll send you the video, Jake - it's fun to watch - especially his self-satisfied smirk at the end of it.
The room is actually currently a dining room but we are building an extension so we can have a conservatory/dining room. Although the viv will take up a whole wall of the room it will still be a viv and can be dismantled - hopefully any would-be purchasers will be able to look beyond that to the size of the room and what "normal" ( ;) ) people would put in a room :D.
I haven't tried to breed locusts - I've heard they can be difficult to get to breed but I want to try some time, his insects are costing a fortune - and he's still growing I'm sure!
