    is this thermometer/hygrometer ok?
    im looking to buy a cheap digital thermometer/hygrometer on ebay and was just wondering is this one ok, it has two temp. readings and a humidity reading. should i go ahead and buy it? if its no good show me a good one on ebay to buy and if you don't mind would you be able to show me a good thermostat aswell?, thanks for the help!

    oh and i have a question on UTH's, do i have to get a UTH to cover the whole bottom of the enclosure or does it not matter if it doesn't cover the whole bottom, thanks!

    That thermometer looks fine to me.


    As for the UTH, you usually want it to cover half the floor...this creates the temperature gradient your snake needs. If you keep your snake in a really cold room, you might consider covering 2/3's of the floor...or using two different UTH's...one on each half, in order to keep both sides warm enough.

    here in the us, brands like accurite,taylor, cooper-atkins, oregon scientific, radio shack,etc are all very popular and about the same quality.
