Hey i was just wondering how big these things get and where to get them at and ifs it safe to keep snakes in them,?

yep, completely safe. you can get them at target, kmart, walmart, stores like that.
the biggest one ive seen was 52 inches long. it was on www.reptiletubs.com you should look around that site. thats where i got the tubs for my rack.

they dont need to be too big. a 42 quart "under the bed" tub will work for an adult ball. i think thats what they call them, "under the bed", does that sound right?

They are excellent for keeping snakes in. Just make sure you put some holes in them for ventilation...and you make sure the lid is secure....meaning tightly fitted around all edges and corners. It's astonishing what tight, tiny openings these guys can squeeze themselves through. I use big, metal paper clamps to hold my lid secure.

i use mine without the lids and i didnt put any holes in it. i put runnings along the walls of my rack system for the lip to sit on with about a eighth of an inch gap for circulation. temperature and humidity is correct so it seems to be working good.

Well yeah....that's one way to do it. ;) I was just picturing someone asking about a cage for a single snake, rather than a rack system...which could be done just as you say.
