    Finally blue
wow so after 3 feedings and a month of waiting she is getting ready to shed. I opened her cage today to check on her and she was staring at me with pretty blue eyes. I have added a couple folded up sheets of papertowel that I have dampened to her hide to make it more humid. I also may add a bigger water bowl that will have more water surface area. Today however is her scheduled feeding day. How do you guys do it? do you feed anyway? or wait till she completes her shed? She doesn't seem overly hungry b/c she hasn't been prowling around her cage as per usual on a mon/tues night. This is her first day of being blue. I just don't know whether or not she'll eat during shed.

You can try to feed. Some will eat during shed some wont. You will just have to try and see. Good Luck!

Its pretty random with feeding during shedding...I've a couple that don't care, one that won't, another that will eat during shed except during the time in between their eyes clearing up and actually shedding their skin. So yeah, give it a shot. If she backs away from it, don't worry about it. They are usually pretty hungry after a shed anyway.

If you feed live and don't want to risk being stuck with a live rodent due to refusal...it certainly won't hurt the snake in the least to skip that meal. If you don't mind the chance of having uneaten prey to deal with....go ahead and try and see if your little one likes to eat while in shed. Up to you.
