    Another big winner
I was just contacted by the largest non profit animal rescue in this state.
Someone left a turtle at their front door this morning. (mind you the door they left it at is the vet clinic as this is a huge kennel facility.)
They don't know what to do with it.
Ok so they call me, I ask them to send over some pictures as they said it was bleeding and not moving around much.
I receive the pictures, and it is a nice looking box turtle. He has a huge gash in his side. Needs to see a vet. Immediatly.
Well our funds are low and I have looked at their financial records and know how much their President takes home, so I tell them to take him to a vet.
Well the manager that is on today has to talk to the manager that comes in tommorow to see if this is possible. (what are you kidding me!)
I can't afford to take him, so the little guy has to hang out. And wait. I have a good feeling he won't be seeing a vet even tommorrow and that frustrates me to no end.
Rusty Reptiles can't save the world. But you would think a very large Humane Society could save a box turtle....
    Thanks for letting me vent,
    Rusty

Hmmm I think a letter is in order to their President and perhaps whoever runs their fundraising. That's a ridiculous thing! Would they allow a dog or cat to lay there on their doorstep bleeding from an open gash? Definitely keep any emails and pictures Rusty. That's just bloody sad and gee....NOT VERY HUMANE!
