I can only hope about the same.

Put it this way. If you're waiting for prices to fall on a purchase you plan to make, then that means by the time you're producing, prices will be so low, it'll take a REALLY lucky season for a het, or two seasons just to break even.

I know, I know, you're just doing it for the love of the animal... okay.... well, lets say in a het/het breeding, you'll produce two albinos, what are you going to do with them? Keep them both, or get rid of one. If you get rid of it, wouldn't you like to make the most you possibly could on the other albino and the other hets?

Yeah, that's all well and good until the wife asks "Why haven't you sold that thing yet?!"

Do what makes you happy, be it in business or hobby. Keep what you want, sell what you don't. If you are a business, keep your girls and plan for the long haul. If you're a hobbiest, keep them all so you can have generations of a family (everyone say AWWWWWWWWWWWWW!).

not true always, my wife is awesome so not a problem i have. i have a small collection but it is 100% paid for, i don't owe a cent to anyone and nothing is financed. i only keep what i can afford to lose, if i don't sell one animal, it doesn't change our lifestyle one bit.
