    Free Stuff
I notice a few other boards have giveaways and raffles and prizes and things like that for photo contests and other stuff like that. I think it would be a cool idea.

I was looking at the online store and had a lot of good shwag for prizes.

And besides, I think all the veterans here at least deserve a sticker. :P seriously.

Brad, while we do appreciate this idea, unfortunately, this is a cost we cannot absorb. That is why we have not done this before except when stuff is donated by those kind ppl willing to do so.

I guess Adam and Ralph are spending all their money trying to out-do each other on the nifty ad designs!

the cost of advertising here is insanely cheap and 100% of it is put toward hosting fees, software costs, etc. and whatever isn't covered by that comes straight out of the pockets of the site admin. there really isn't any budget for anything else.

I agree. that would be kind of cool. :P but maybe in the long run it would cost the forum more due to shipping expences...and if that costs the forum the forum might end up having a fee for membership.

That was what happened to my "Toxic Forum" (of teamtoxicbass.com) We started giving away t-shirts, signed photos of members of the team and my self encluded *Smug Grin* hats and all that other stuff. but over time it was costing us way to much. We made it a paied membership and then we lost over half our members. so we ended up closeing my forum.

It always seems like a good idea at first but in the long run it can be a really bad idea.
