    Do BP's mind music?!
    Hi again!
Having only had my BP 2 days I'm trying to keep my stereo down to a minimum so not to stress him out...is this pointless? I know snakes are sensitive to vibrations, and my B&W speakers give out some serious power, so is it best to avoid subjecting him to loud music in the first few week/ever? I lead quite a musical lifestyle and play the drums so should I locate my BP as far away in the house as possible from the sources of loud music?

    Any help is appreciated,
    Cheers!

As long as your ball python is eating regularly it shouldn't be a big deal ... if it's not eating for you, the music could be the source of the stress.

this has limited value in context, but my snakes all come out of their hides and show general interest in me when i'm playing guitar or some music on the stereo...

My husband is is a Car Audio Installer and Extream Bass head. (will be posting pictures in OT called A day in the life of me) Both of my snakes come out of there hides too when he is working on his truck and tweeking the bass, The seem to really enjoy a bass tone of around 30 HTZ and above.

Wow - I wouldn't have thought! Must make sure my daughters don't read this thread - it's the only way I have peace in the house now by yelling "turn the music down you'll stress the snakes!!!"

I keep mine at my office..and I work with a Hip Hop/Mixtape Company [www.mixtapecorner.com] :halohorn:... so there is usually alot of music playing throughout the day. It doesnt really seem to bother her... not even enough for her to come out and play :(
.. BUT.. she's a huge ham and loves to come out when she see's the flash on my camera.. lol

either way..unless u have the enclosure directly next to the speakers, drums, etc.. i doubt it would be an issue. because the only way the snake would really get irritated by the vibrations is if it were directly feeling the thump.
