    Gueest Mice?
Have you guys ever had any guest mice? lol what i mean by this was today after cleaning out my mice cages i saw a mouse. I always keep close track of all my mice and it wasnt one of mine. Maybe he just came to visit one of my does? well i'll set traps tommorow morning to catch the little sucker..I find it ironic that i breed mice and i am disgusted by wild mice.

Ive only come across one "wild" mouse since I started breeding. However I do have some that escape and then come to greet me when I do my daily checkups. I just grab them and put them into a cage with smaller mesh screen. Doesnt happen often but every now and then.

The above is why I tend to breed mice that are not "wild" colored (the brownish grey). I do breed rats that are "cinnamon" colored. But I have yet to see a wild rat anywhere near my stock.

I keep mice strips down constantly, I also keep mouse traps set in "strategic" locations. It only takes one wild animal getting into (or near) your stock to give them parasites or disease.

Well goos news same day i saw him i caught it. I use a plastic criter keeper to catch it. It was just me and him on a 4x6 closet and took me a while but i was able to put him in the container since thats all i had available at the moment whne i had him cornered.

Hehe - i know that drill - especially since I've had one of the kids doing the feeding watering. I've gone back into the workroom more than once and headed to the bench for tools only to have something run off between paint cans etc. I can't ever experience that without thinking of the scene in Alien where the baby alien goes scrambling across the breakfast table. Brings me a little pucker every time!
