refreeze thawed out mice/rat ???
If I thaw out a frozen mice or rat and the snake refuses it can I refreeze it and reuse it for next weeks offering. How long should I or can I leave a thawed out mice or rat before its to late to refreeze becaause its unsafe to offer again because it might have gone bad. Is it safe to leave a thawed out rat or mice over night in the tub and if the snake hasnt eaten it to refreeze for later use.
Re: refreeze thawed out mice/rat ???
Yes you can refreeze once but there is always that possibility that next time you thaw, when the snake goes to constrict that the belly could explode. The freezing, thawing, refreezing, rethawing process breaks down tissue making the skin thin. I wouldn't refreeze after about an hour out. Overnight is too long. I actually have kept thawed rodents in the fridge for a week and they are fine.

Whatever works for you. I have used fridge for a week but I am sure some would advise otherwise. Refreezing works as well...
