an early start to hurricane season
    http://new.savannahnow.com/node/97185

i am SO not looking forward to the rest of this year's hurricane season! :rainon:
just a warning to everyone in coastal areas to ready yourselves and have a plan for your animals.
(and a note to self to get more supplies to have on hand in case of an evacuation...)

The link doesn't seem to be working for me.

I can understand your reluctance, especially after last season. Best of luck riding out another year.

well p00 on me. i even tested it in separate browsers before i posted it! it seems to be down at the moment--they are transitioning their site into a new design and it's a little glitchy still. hopefully it will be back up soon.

How did things go over with you in GA? Here in Orlando we got a few inches of rain and a tad of wind....not at all what i would consider a hurricane or tropical storm. but yeh the season just started so i'm not going to curse myself.

it was actually pretty nasty. not hurricane nasty but definitely tropical storm nasty. flooding, high winds, tornados, power outages--all that fun stuff. i got so soaked running from my car (with jacket and umbrella) into work that it took me all day to dry out! we have been SO lucky for SO long here when it comes to hurricanes that with each new season i feel like surely this time it's going to be our turn. :/
