How long did it take to "break in" your snake?

Hey I was wondering how long does it take for a scared snake to relax and not be afarid when someone pick it up. My snake jumps when I look in the glass at her, Ive been picking her up everyday, and I dont see much progress with her.

How long did you let her acclimate?

Well just remember to change that factory oil after the first 500 miles and....oh....snakes....never mind...:D

She chilled in her cage for a week and a half, plus she started shedding so hell close to 2 and a half weeks.

It all depends on the snake. If you have a timid snake, handling it every day will probably just stress it out. Some snakes will always be timid and jumpy, and others might take a few years before they feel relaxed enough to not be so jumpy. Also keep in mind that most young snakes will be jumpy and flinchy. They're on the very bottom of the food chain at that age and think everything is out to eat them.

I got the snake not too long after she turned 2 years old. Ill space out the handlings. thanks all alot.

our male still acts weird around us but i believe its because he is still very small.

our large female doesnt seem to mind. she likes to "go" and doesnt mind getting out of your hands to check out whats around you.

your doing the right thing by not handeling so much, i wanted to take khan out all the time...I had to stop myself from even going into the room.
