Creature Cubbyhole
I'm really impressed at what an 8ft snake can squeeze into! I switched out hides (also got the medium sized Creature Cubbyhole for Gomez, I need to get him a second one but he's happily moving back and forth between it and the warm side clay pot, I get pics of that too!) and Ma-tsu seems to fit in there just fine! I need to get a smaller plastic tub to be a humid hide too, but the huge one is working at the moment and more room to lay eggs if that's what she's planning. For all I know, this is a pre-lay shed she's working up to!

Got one for Neptune too, but he stresses easier so I'm going to wait to switch it out till I'm ready to rearrange his whole enclosure for a humid hide. Better to just get it all done in one blow and let him get used to it than to do it all a little at a time and make him all twitchy!
Thanks to Adam for bringing my attention to these nice cozy easy to clean hides, I was worried the large would be too small for the beauties but it's just barely perfect! Aughta be for having a picture of a boa on the label, lol.

Looks awesome! It's amazing what small spaces they can cram their whole bodies into!

Use the search feature to look up Blue Beauties, Neptune, and Ma-Tsu ....you'll find tons of beautiful pictures and info on her snakes! (Click on the link in her signature too! ;) )

I love those hides, they work very well until they start bulging out from underneath them (BPs getting too big for them) ;) , Blue Beauties are awsome, I might have to get one now:bolt: .

Here is the caresheet, Pork Chops! http://www.bluegorgon.com/caresheet.htm My pair are each in a 55L, which is the minimum for these snakes. When we get a snake room, I hope to get them into bigger enclosures. They're active and will take all they can get!
I bet the big girl BPs grow out of those fast! Luckily my VBBs are skinny, and just barely make it in. ;) Nice and secure.
I really look forward to a clutch of baby VBBs! Cute hyper little olive beauties! (they change color as they get older) If not this season, we're going all out next season! *crosses fingers!* And my BP.net peeps get first dibs! :)

Re: Creature Cubbyhole
Thanks!! lol I was thinking the 4' cube I am designing would be too small for one of them. Do they climb the trees alot if you have them?

Re: Creature Cubbyhole
Also, Do you think that they would like more of a aboreal cage than a terrestrial cage like 3' by 3' base thats like 4-5' tall? I have been looking for a snake that I could use as a centerpiece that would be good in an aboreal type cage like that.

Re: Creature Cubbyhole
They love their trees! And anything else! Some VBB Keepers have fairly tall enclosures with little shelves for them to loung on, even. They're active, curious, and will explore everything! Burrow, climb, bathe...and they're diurnal, so great display snakes. Crazy characters!
