best feeding procedure 4 2 month old bp
does anyone have any easy feeding procedures for a 2 month old captive bred bp? i have tried all the obvious techniques, should i try to feed him in his enclosure? could he be stressed from moving into a feeding cage? any advice would be welcome, thank you!

Yes feed him in his cage. Moving them just streses them out. What ever you are feeding him/her, just stick it in the room for about 30 min to scent the room so they go into feeding mode, then just drop the prey in and leave him alone. If it is live you need to watch it and take it out if he has not eaten it in 30 min. If it is live but it is only like a rat pink or rat pup you should be fine because they dont have teeth. Then you can just drop it in and leave and check on it later.

If you have been feeding f/t, you can try live.

I agree. Do not move the little guy into another cage for feeding. Double, then recheck again, your husbandry aspects. How big is the main enclosure?

How long have you had him? When was the last time he ate? Remember, bp's can go months without eating and be fine. Dont get too worried. Just double-check all your husbandry and he will eat when he wants too if your husbandry is correct. Just watch his weight and if it starts to drop I would make an appt. with a reptile certified vet. Good Luck!
