They'll usually come out for sure when you pop him ... sometimes they are attached to a fresh shed around the vent ... and sometimes you can find them smeared on the side of a water bowl or the side of the cage.

Would they be long about 1/3 to 1/2 inch long ... smell funny and have a dark tip to them???
