    life insurance
    does anyone have life insurance on there snakes. if so where did you get it. i am starting to get some expencive snakes around and thought it would be good to have.

    From the standpoint of an insurer, or a court, snakes are property, not persons. You might be able to find insurance as a breeder, dealer on "inventory".

    it doesnt have to be a person to have on some thing because i have insurance on my guns because i colect them i sure there is some place out there that offers it for pets

    there are numerious sites that offer health insurance for pets. but i cant find life insurance.

    Thanks Adam. That was my point. You can't have life insurance on property. The best you can get is property insurance (in other words, fire and theft).

    Well, I think it gets tricky with some types of insurance. I know that prize breeder horses and cattle can be insured with "life insurance" (actually it's called mortality insurance with livestock) and even "stud insurance" which is just crazy. But I've talked to what I believe is every insurance agency in the US that covers livestock and not a single one will do either mortality or stud insurance for reptiles.

    thanks for the info. we had insurance on all our live stock on the farm. but i just wondered if it was out there for reptiles.
